OCE CS2 squad SemperFi will make a change ahead of the season break, with the team announcing rifling youngster Kalan "sliimey" Lorenzo will join from Ground Zero. He'll slot in for Kiwi Christian "ADDICT" Pendleton who will be stepping away from competition for the foreseeable.
The organisation announced the change on May 6 via X/Twitter, with owner Ben Savage confirming the change to DFRAG last week. Savage added he was excited to see sliimey slot into the team's system and that he had been "smashing it in practice."

Today we welcome @sliimey1 to SemperFi - a young talent with serious firepower and a mindset that fits exactly what we’re building.
With that, we also announce the departure of @addicts_csgo. We’re extremely grateful for everything he brought to the team over the… pic.twitter.com/Pzrnok1Ze7
Sliimey has played and learned alongside some of OCE's most experienced players over his short career. After hitting the ground running in 2021 with Kanga, the 20-uear-old linked with the Tyler "tucks" Reilly-led Mindfreak project.
He was one of the highest-rated players during ESL Challenger 47 OCE, where Mindfreak finished third, before securing the org a slot at the IESF World Esports Championship.
He then moved to Rooster and, under Michael "chelleos" Hawkins, continued expanding his game whilst also locking in his first international LAN appearances at ESL Pro League Season 20 and ESL Challenger Atlanta.
Sliimey then returned to Mindfreak to begin 2026, appearing at both DFRAG Wildcard LAN and ANZC Locals Autumn, before making a move to Ground Zero in place of Damon "damyo" Portelli.
He now joins the OCE top-two squad following their tough start to 2026, which included stints in Europe and China. The squad fell just short of qualifying for the IEM Cologne Major after their defeat at XSE GangKui Cup and the events that unfolded at Yuqilin Pinnacle of Battle Season 2.

ADDICT, meanwhile, will step back from SemperFi and "doesn't really have any plans" about his future in competitive CS2, speaking to DFRAG. The 25-year-old remains one of the region's most prolific riflers and has played consistently throughout the past six years.
First finding his feet with VERTEX Esports Club, ADDICT stuck with the team's core following their high-profile exit from the org. He played on un-signed with the Bad News Kangaroos roster until his move to TALON in 2024.
Following TALON's disintegration in December he remained with the OCE core and continued to play under ex-TALON until the call from SemperFi came in 2025, becoming a key component that saw the squad dominate the year domestically.
SemperFi sat out of DFRAG Open Series 4 last week and will be absent for ECL Season 51 after the team declined the invitation.
