OCE Roster News: Mindfreak makes change as Time Waves winds back the clock

Mindfreak, fresh off a recent fourth-place performance at HyperX Intel Nationals 2026, has made a shock move to drop Tyler “Bay” Dellac as he steps away from the game. Replacing Bay is former Time Waves’ Ethan “Lawlkay” Mistica.

Bay has been on a dry run of form recently, and his HLTV rating reflects that, averaging 0.87 over the past six months. It was obvious that a change needed to be made; however, Bay showed much promise for a LAN rookie, and hopefully he lands on his feet.

The inclusion of Lawlkay is an interesting one for me. Acclaimed by some of the best in the region for his potential in the scene, Lawlkay was a consistent best performer as a lurker for Time Waves before his departure in April. 

Now for the interesting bit: How does this move translate to the server, and what changes should we expect to see out of Mindfreak? DFRAG sat down with Mindfreak IGL Jye “Zune” Pollock to discuss the move and how to answer these vital questions.

“[Bay’s playstyle is] selfless and aggressive, which balanced us really well,” Zune said, adding that this aggression “became his downfall” and that the playstyle was easy to punish and plan for from the top squads.

However, in the moments when Bay wasn’t read, he was a vital part of the team's success, especially in the LAN environment; his performances were inconsistent and were a major factor in Mindfreak's success in the HyperX Intel Nationals. 

“We play very fast one-timing CS at the moment, and with [Lawlkay] I think our game will become more cultured.

“Ethan [Lawlkay] brings a lot of qualities we need. He seems like a player with an insane ceiling to me. His composure is unbelievable, not just in clutches, but he’s someone who really goes through the motions.”

Time Waves overhaul roster following core departure

Timewaves has finally revealed it’s new roster after the departures of Kenan “Kezza” Alhadweh, Camille “Camille” Lando, and Lawlkay. The former trio has found homes in very different parts of the region, with “Camille” off to Team Waves (funny, right?), “Lawlkay” off to Mindfreak, and Kezza taking a break from Counter-Strike altogether. 

Timewaves had to replace a very long-standing core of this team and have looked to some of the older players in the region to do so, picking up Johnny “jcg” Grima, Kieren “Muzoona” Jackson, and Isaac “Prodigy” Dahlan.

Prodigy has made a return to team CS and looks to be back for good this time. The former 8Ballers lurker has had some stints bouncing around teams in OCE from WannaNow and the Gentlemen's Kennel before landing at Time Waves. He averaged a 0.98 rating in passive roles all whilst being a “big voice in the team,” according to new IGL Mitchell “ElephanT” Rahn. 

Jcg and Muzoona, on the other hand, are unknown quantities for me personally; jcg, a former Rooster product, has reportedly been “thriving in the ElephanT system,” and Muzoona has taken the AWP away from ElephanT, leaving him to rifle IGL. 

After an extended break for the Integral Nation trio, they look to adjust to CS2 as a whole according to Elephant. “The team is just on the grind; we’ve qualified for DFRAG Open Series 6, which is kinda massive, but we still need to get used to changes in CS2. It's pretty much a new game to them, and we need to adapt.”

While the next three-to-six months won't be pretty for Time Waves, the future is still bright for the purple brigade, and it gives them plenty of time to ride the wave!
