The long-running Asian Counter-Strike series, eXTREMESLAND, is returning for its 2026 edition in Shanghai, China in mid-December with the ZOWIE CS Asia Open 2026.

Before then, OCE will decide its representative via a three-stage qualifier, hosted by DFRAG, this coming September and October.

The ZOWIE eXTREMESLAND Oceania online qualifier will kick off with a huge 64-team double-elimination bracket on Sept. 26 and 27; the top eight will move onto stages two and three, both of which are VRS ranked.

Stage two sees our eight qualifiers split into double-elimination groups on Sept. 30. The top two in each group progress to stage three, where they'll play a final double-elimination bracket on Oct. 3 and Oct. 4 to decide who will fly OCE's flag in Shanghai.

ZOWIE eXTREMESLAND CS Asia Open 2026

    • 4 x Direct VRS Invites to LAN
    • One team from each subregion qualifier: China, Mongolia, Oceania, Central Asia, Southeast Asia, Japan & South Korea, South Asia, Middle East
  • LAN Finals: Shanghai, China; Dec. 16 - 20
    • Stage 1: 8 teams via Regional Qualifiers, top 4 progress
    • Stage 2: 8 teams (4 via Stage 1, 4 via Direct VRS Invite)
    • Stage 3: 4 teams via Stage 2
  • Prize pool: $150,000 USD

2025's edition of eXTREMESLAND saw top Asia CS2 squads battle for the lion's share of the $150,000 USD prize pool last December. Chinggis Warriors took down JiJieHao to claim the $70,000 prize; Aussie reps Rooster finished outside the top four in the group stage.

eXTREMESLAND, supported by ZOWIE, enters its eleventh year and aims to better connect Asia's subregions competitively. Nine countries were represented in the inaugural 2016 edition of the tournament; now, over a dozen countries and territories take part in the annual series.

Last year's edition saw individual qualifiers for the likes of China, Mongolia, Oceania, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, the Middle-East, and the Philippines.

This year's edition will see these regions consolidated into eight regional qualifiers, taking place over the coming months.

Registration for the ZOWIE eXTREMESLAND 2026 OCE Online Qualifier will open Sept. 19. For more qualifier sign-ups and information about eXTREMESLAND 2026, including registration links for each regional qualifier, head to the official eXTREMESLAND site or the event's Additional Information document.
