TYLOO will head into the Cologne Major as a top-two squad in Asia following a 2-1 (13-2, 8-13, 13-8) win over FlyQuest at the XinSaiEsports GangKui Cup.
The victory — one of two events running in Shanghai, China to close out the VRS Major cutoff — sees TYLOO storm up the region's rankings. While it was far from a clean run at GangKui Cup, the Chinese squad performed when it mattered and reap the rewards of a LAN title.

Day one saw OCE squad SemperFi send TYLOO into elimination, where qualifiers Unsettled Resentment pushed them to the brink. TYLOO needed overtime on map three Mirage to see off UR, but from there, the champions never looked back.
TYLOO sliced their way through The Huns, Rare Atom, and Chinggis Warriors before charging out of the gates against FlyQuest in the grand final. A 10-2 T half was quickly converted on Mirage, with TYLOO newcomer Su "Zero" Jingshen (15-4, 111 ADR, 1.93 HLTV rating) setting the tone.
A lethargic FlyQuest hit right back on Anubis, holding TYLOO to just two T rounds in the first half. A pistol conversion had the Aussies hold 10 map points; they'd need seven to get the job done, tying the series 13-8 behind Corey "nettik" Browne (32-44, 0.85).

But it was runaway tournament MVP Yi "JamYoung" Yang (40-29, 1.46) who took over on Nuke. The Chinese rifler was unstoppable in the series decider, registering 15 kills in an 8-4 T-half lead.
FQ stopped a pistol conversion but managed just four T rounds total. A massive 2.09-rated performance from JamYoung was plenty enough to send the Aussies packing, securing TYLOO a vital trophy for the cabinet.
Asia's five reps for Cologne Major locked in

While the Yuqilin Pinnacle of Battle LAN also wraps tonight, plus several region-wide online cups run through to the major invite cutoff date, Asia's five slots for Cologne have been determined thanks to results at GangKui Cup.
The MongolZ will claim Asia's sole Stage 3 slot after a remarkable season following Azbayar "Senzu" Munkhbold's departure. Anarbileg "cobrazera" Uuganbayar is proving a handy replacement, and it's expected the Mongolian squad is primed for another deep major run this June.
GangKui Cup finalists TYLOO and FlyQuest pick up Stage 1 slots, as does OCE domestic champions THUNDER dOWNUNDER, whose wins on home soil proved enough for a spot in Germany at the big show.
FQ and TdU's attendance means this is the first time since the StarLadder Berlin Major in 2019 that Oceania will have two representatives at a CS Major, the first time in CS2.
Lynn Vision claims the final slot courtesy of their performances in China at XSE Loop Cup and the CAC Closed Qualifiers, as well as two controversial forfeits at PoB this past week.
