Time is up for Danish organisation Sashi Esports and their Asia VRS experiment, with sources close to DFRAG stating Aussie pair Tynan "TjP" Purtell and Jordan "Hatz" Bajic have concluded their three-week tenure at the org.
It is believed TjP and Hatz are en route home to Australia less than a month after Sashi pulled the plug on their all-Danish outfit and made a last-ditch attempt to qualify for the PGL Singapore Major via the Asia VRS standings.
However, following failed runs at Stake Pulse Beat III in Sweden and DracuLAN Season 7 in Romania, the team's slim chances of qualifying for the major are now gone — and they're shipping the Aussies home as a result.
Simply unacceptable. We are nowhere near the level we should be playing at. pic.twitter.com/H3FoovSvaE

DFRAG was told Sashi's decision to part ways with the Aussie duo was mutual.
Sashi shocked the Counter-Strike world with their attempt to make a late swap into Asia VRS via TjP and Hatz in early October. Their move followed similar switches made by BCGame Esports and WW.
However, Sashi's third Asia VRS player came in the form of updated citizenship for Vietnam's Anton "Anlelele" Huynh, who was originally listed as Danish.
This prompted Valve to enforce a new rule surrounding switching VRS regions mid-season, with teams now requiring three months before region swapping is confirmed.
Sashi, apparently denied by Valve despite submitting a request for exemption, continued to explore expanding the roster's Asia core with the acquisition of Rooster's Michael "chelleos" Hawkins, but chelleos cut ties with the org after just two days.
Sashi is currently registered for several upcoming events, including NSTLGA Texas Open in the U.S. on Oct. 30. It is unclear whether the org will attend these tournaments; if they do, they'll likely need to call upon their bench of Frederik "acoR" Gyldstrand, Casper "Cabbi" Jensen, and/or Lukas "Beccie" Balcells.
TjP is lining up a return to competition in OCE as early as next week's DFRAG Invitational in Brisbane, with the 24-year-old supposedly playing for Rooster. Hatz's future in competitive Counter-Strike is unclear at this time.
Sashi is now:
- Rasmus "Zyphon" Nordfoss
- Anton "Anlelele" Huynh
- Frederik "acoR" Gyldstrand (bench)
- Casper "Cabbi" Jensen (bench)
- Lukas "Beccie" Balcells (bench)
- Nicolai "HUNDEN" Petersen (coach)
