SemperFi has capped off 2025 with an international LAN win, with the OCE-Latvian mix squad defeating Deep Cross Gaming to lift the Samsung Odyssey Cup Asia in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia tonight.
DCG worked hard through the lower bracket, originally dropping to SemperFi in the upper bracket semifinal, then palming off fellow OCE squad Ground Zero and Malaysian qualifier Beyman Esports to book a rematch in the ground final.
So proud of these boys. I can’t imagine a team that works harder than they do and this trophy is well deserved.

But more than seven maps on championship Sunday proved too much for DCG, with James "SaVage" Savage's men proving too good taking the final 3-1 (13-3, 13-16, 13-7, 13-10) and securing a cool $20,000 USD prize.
Fellow OCE hopes Ground Zero fought bravely, landing their first series wins on international soil in the opening round before dropping to Beyman 2-1 in the upper bracket. GZ scored a win over Team Nemesis but fell in the lower bracket semifinal to DCG 2-0 (13-10, 13-10).
SemperFi, the arguable favourites for the event, survived upper bracket scares from Team Nemesis (before a sweet 13-2, 13-0 rebound) and DCG, then put Beyman to the sword on Saturday thus locking in the grand final appearance.

It appeared another day at the office for SemperFi following a 13-3 win on Mirage, but DCG rebounded and took Ancient in overtime to level the series. The win left DCG spent, however, with SemperFi navigating Dust 2 (13-7) and Overpass (13-10) to take home the goodies.
It's a silver lining for the boys in green who make up for a missed opportunity as peers Rooster travel to Shanghai, China for eXTREMESLAND this week following their win over SemperFi back in September.
Nevertheless, SemperFi sit firmly at the top of OCE CS after one of the region's most dominant years. From a top eight finish at eXTREMESLAND 2024 to over half a dozen qualifier wins, a complete whitewash of ECL Season 50, and an incredible win at DFRAG Invitational, SemperFi now turns to a solid start in 2026 as they seek an elusive CS2 Major appearance.
