Logitech G Pro Series 2026: Preview

Wednesday 14th October 2026
4 min read

OCE LAN Counter-Strike returns to the DFRAG studio for Logitech G Pro Series 2026, just four days after FlyQuest claimed the ANZC Locals Spring 2026 trophy.

Formally known as the DFRAG Wildcard LAN, the Logitech G Pro Series 2026 will feature seven teams across two groups that will play a double-elimination GSL bracket for playoff qualification. The top two teams from each group advance to the playoffs.

The prize pool has been set to a whopping $20,000 AUD, with first place receiving $11,000. This event will be the second out of three LAN events held here at the DFRAG Studio this October. The eighth team, Rare Atom, opted to withdraw from the event without the time to find a replacement team.

NEXVOID

The all-Mongolian roster makes its LAN debut at the DFRAG studio this week as the event’s second-highest VRS-ranked team. To overtake their compatriots in the VRS and qualify for PGL Major Singapore 2026, they need strong showings here and at the DFRAG Invitational 2026 in two weeks.

The team is led by a familiar face in Erdenetsogt “erkaSt” Gantulga, the former coach of FlyQuest, who stood behind the Aussie team at both Major runs in 2024. NEXVOID has recently traded wins and losses in Mongolia’s highly competitive LAN scene, and they’re widely regarded as a top-four team in the region’s leading country.

Eyes will be on journeyman AWPer Otgonlhagva “AccuracyTG”  Batjargal to light up the server for NEXVOID following a strong LAN performance at MESA Pro Series Fall 2026 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia last week.

BreadHead's Prediction: 3rd, playoffs

Mindfreak

It has been a turbulent time in the Mindfreak camp recently, with 13 different players putting on the jersey this year alone. Their best result this year came at the HyperX & Intel Nationals 2026, where they placed 4th over the likes of Rooster, Arcade and rivals Team Abyssal.

20-year-old Kai “Kairo” Brooks is now the team's best player and AWPer, and has grinded through the OCE’s open circuit to become a very competent player at the LAN level.

They're in a tough group though, and I can't see them making it out of groups. Prove me wrong, MF!

BreadHead's Prediction: Out in groups (0-2*)

Team Abyssal

Abyssal was able to overcome their day-one curse at last week's ANZC Locals Spring 2026 in Brisbane, making it all the way to the grand final but falling short to top dogs FlyQuest.

This will be the second LAN for Abyssal after replacing veterans Maclane “gump” Cross and Jayden “foggers” Graham back in late August, for Jye “zune” Pollock and Marvin “forleks” Tran respectively. The team is made up of emerging talents in OCE, most notably Julian “vinhy” Dinh-Vu surfacing as the teams star entry-fragger and Ozzy “blood” Rose as a consistent AWP threat, both being only 21 years old.

The ceiling is still unknown for Abyssal, but have shown enormous improvement to the floor of their game. Don’t expect Abyssal to take the title, but expect them to show their teeth.

BreadHead's Prediction: Out in groups (1-2)

Rooster

After a much-publicised two-day stint with Danish organisation Sashi, Michael “chelleos” Hawkins is back on Rooster and ready to be their best player again.

Rooster has cemented themselves as a legacy Organisation in our region, bringing up talents such as FlyQuest’s Corey “nettik” Browne and BC.Game’s Tyson “asap” Paterson from their previous rosters.

The team lacks the firepower of years past, but its players bring plenty of LAN experience as a group, particularly chelleos, who is a proven top performer at OCE LAN’s.

Rooster has a strong chance of reaching day two, having landed in a weaker group and already secured a 1-0 win over Rare Atom in their opening matchup due to their withdrawal.

BreadHead's Prediction: 4th, playoffs

Ground Zero

Ground Zero is a consistent top team in OCE, fielding a strong roster of players with the goal to be a secure top-two team in Australia.

At HyperX Intel Nationals they beat IEM Cologne Major attendees THUNDER dOWNUNDER en route to a second-place finish behind FlyQuest. That result was tempered last week by a shock 0-2 loss to Abyssal in the consolidation final.

Kalen “sliimey” Lorenzo continues to be the star of the team, fulfilling his potential as one of the former strongest prospects in OCE. GZ will also need Tom “apocdud” Henry back to his best, acting as the X factor he has been for the team previously.

BreadHead's Prediction: Out in groups (1-2)

FlyQuest

FlyQuest are the clear favourites for the Logitech G Pro Series.

They haven’t dropped a map on LAN this year at the DFRAG studio, and they’ll be chasing all three trophies at this year’s LAN-tober in Brisbane. Justin “jks” Savage has been a beast since returning home from a long stint in Europe, sharing MVP votes with star play-maker Declan “vexite” Portelli through FlyQuest’s dominant first-place runs.

A stronger field means someone will probably take a map off them this time, but with this much experience and talent, anything short of first would be a surprise.

BreadHead's Prediction: 1st, champions

Off Chops

The only other team with true Major experience at the event is Off Chops, formerly known as THUNDER dOWNUNDER. The now-rebranded Off Chops features a lineup of OCE legends, including former Major semi-finalists Sean “Gratisfaction” Kaiwai and Jay “Liazz” Tregillgas.

The team is able to attend the event through a last chance qualifier and is expected to cause real damage to all the top teams attending — provided they survive the group of death.

BreadHead's Prediction: 2nd, runner-ups
