Team Liquid have finalized their rebuilding process with the signing of Australian superstar, Justin "jks" Savage. This move marks the end of a nearly ten-month hiatus for jks, who has been a free agent since February following his benching by G2 in November 2023.

A veteran of the game, jks began his career before CS

was even released, playing for Team Exile5. He later rose to prominence on Vox Eminor and cemented his superstar status on Renegades and 100 Thieves. His historic achievements include becoming the first Australian team to feature in a Major playoff at IEM Katowice 2019.

Following his successful stint with 100 Thieves, jks experienced a challenging period with Complexity but made a significant comeback as a stand-in with FaZe, winning IEM Katowice 2022. His tenure with G2 was highlighted by victories at the BLAST Premier World Final 2022, IEM Katowice 2023, and IEM Cologne 2023.

Been a while but I'm happy to be back and excited to be apart of this team! Thank you @TeamLiquidCS for the opportunity - JKS

Liquid's Rebuild Strategy

The signing of jks completes Liquid's extensive rebuild. The team has also picked up Polish AWPer Roland "ultimate" Tomkowiak and named Torbjørn "mithR" Nyborg as their new head coach. These changes come after the benching of Casper "cadiaN" Møller, Felipe "skullz" Medeiros, and head coach Wilton "zews" Prado.

Liquid's new roster boasts a diverse mix of talent from Europe, North America, and Asia-Pacific. This composition provides the team with the flexibility to qualify for the Shanghai Major from either Europe or the Americas, as the roster does not have an automatically assigned region.

Looking Forward

Liquid's new lineup will debut at the BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2024, set to begin on July 29th. The tournament, taking place in Copenhagen, will feature 16 teams partnered with BLAST. Fans are eagerly anticipating the performance of the revamped Liquid roster in this prestigious event.

jks shared his excitement about joining Liquid on social media, saying, "Been a while but I'm happy to be back and excited to be a part of this team! Thank you @TeamLiquidCS for the opportunity 🫡".

With the addition of jks and the new strategic changes, Team Liquid is poised for a strong showing in the upcoming competitions. Fans can look forward to watching all the action on BLAST.tv and supporting their favorite team as they aim for victory.
