FlyQuest returned home to Australia and reaffirmed their status as apex predators of OCE CS2 taking down SemperFi 2-0 (13-7, 13-5) to lock in the organization's second major appearance.

The win means a 23rd member of the Oceanic Counter-Strike community, Corey "nettik" Browne, will inscribe his name into the history books via the major stickers, while Romanian teammate Iulian "regali" Harjău also will debut at a major in Austin later this June.

FlyQuest were too good in the OCE & SEA MRQ this past week, defeating next-best SemperFi twice as well as Rooster on their way to the Austin Major Stage 1 spot. Regali topped the rating charts for the event (1.41 HLTV rating) with all four FlyQuest members right behind.

Veteran Jay "Liazz" Tregillgas was nigh unstoppable in the grand final with nettik contributing heavily toward locking FlyQuest in for the pinnacle event.

"[It] feels good getting a few wins with the new squad, see you at the Major," Declan "Vexite" Portelli said following the match. This was the first event with nettik, who repped ex-TALON at DFRAG Invitational earlier this month in his final tournament with the squad before his highly-publicised move to FlyQuest.

For SemperFi, it was close but not close enough. Like in Brisbane for LAN, they were asked to make a lower bracket run, taking down a plucky ex-TALON 2-0 (13-10, 16-12) in the earlier match. Unfortunately, they didn't have enough in the tank to ward off the qualifier favorites.

FlyQuest will celebrate tonight, but it'll be heads down and all focus this Easter ahead of IEM Melbourne, which kicks off Monday, April 21. After that, it'll be off to Copenhagen for BLAST Rivals Spring before they prep for the all-important major in Texas.
