Aussie veteran AWPer Alistair "aliStair" Johnson has linked up with SemperFi three months on after his departure from FlyQuest.

AliStair, who has been a free agent since early January, returns to competitive play and will debut with the roster at the DFRAG Invitational next week. The 26-year-old replaces the outgoing Ethan "vision" Holst, who departed the roster on March 13.

SemperFi announced aliStair's arrival with much fanfare on March 14 via X/Twitter. "With Ali, we're ready to make some serious noise on the server," the org's statement read, while new teammate James "SaVage" Savage said he had "always wanted to play with Ali on a team since I first got into the scene."

AliStair, who became the de facto "voice" of the FlyQuest squad, brings considerable experience to the SemperFi outfit. He has attended five Counter-Strike Majors and was a member of the Renegades, ORDER, and Grayhound core for over three years, competing at over two dozen S-tier events overseas.

Of recent, aliStair was a key piece in FlyQuest's historic win at ESL Challenger Atlanta, posting a server-topping 1.18 HLTV rating in the 2-1 grand final win.

He recently popped up as a sub for Only One Word (formerly The Art of War) in the EPL World Series OCE Season 1 and assisted SemperFi as a coach for last week's MESA Asian Masters in Mongolia.

AliStair confirmed to DFRAG that Kristers "keen" Dārznieks will retain the IGL role but revert to the rifle. SemperFi, with aliStair on the Big Green, begin their OCE conquest at DFRAG Invitational on March 20.
