MIBR take out 1st place at ESL Challenger at Dreamhack Melbourne 2024
I don't think we can easily say how epic Day 3 was for the DFrag team. ESL Challenger Semi-finals and Grand-finals delivered 💪
Aurora beating Rebels 13 - 9 on Mirage then 13 - 6 on Ancient saw them facing off against MIBR in the Grand finals.
Dragonlores and knives a pleanty were given away to try and win over the crowd but it was MIBR who took home the trophy after a 2-0 win against the crowd favourite Aurora Gaming.
It was certainly a slow start to the day as many people we assume (because it was also us) nursing a hangover from the Saturday night festivities - We rung up a new Aussie esports record bill at GogiMatcha, if you're ever in Melbourne and need some great KBBQ we do recommend. 👌
We managed to catch up with MIBR after the grand-final victory and spoke with Exit once again on how it felt to take home the trophy and his overall experience playing infront of the Aussie crowd.
We'll have a full event wrapup and coverage post later on during the week with all of our interviews: ben1337, Mingovi, Nowri, TJP, Exit, Conkyyy, Viv, Kraxyt, Elfishguy, Pillicast, GoGoGadgetCasts, Ben 'Sandman' Green, Doyle and Rarewolf.
And, not to mention a venue tour thanks to Monitor303!
