Season 5 of the DFRAG Open Series is already upon us with OCE CS2's finest getting amongst it for a shot at the lion's share of $7,500 AUD, a bevy of VRS points, and a spot at the DFRAG Wildcard LAN — and anyone can get involved!
Registration for DFRAG Open Series 5 is now open via FACEIT. All entrants will be sorted into an open qualifier bracket to take place on June 1, from which the top eight proceed to the Open Series main event.
From there, they'll be split into two groups and play out a GSL-style double-elimination stage. The top two in each group head to the playoffs; the two survivors of the double-elimination bracket stamp their tickets to the Wildcard LAN later this year.

DFRAG Open Series 5 is the second of three Open Series events in 2026. At Open Series 4, we saw Team Abyssal overcome Rooster in the grand final 2-1; both teams are locked in for LAN already thanks to their efforts in April.
Our ACL 2026 reps will be wanting more following their trip to Shanghai, but you can expect our regular cohort as well; Arcade and Ding Cuts have been licking their wounds after their Open Series 4 exits.
Don't let that stop you from entering! DFRAG Open Series 5's Open Qualifier is free; all you'll need is a FACEIT account (and a few teammates)! Sign ups are open until just before the open qualifier kickoff on June 1.
